Rod Bull

Rod joined Komatsu in January of 2011 as the P&H Global Parts Marketing Director and since then has held senior leadership roles with increasing responsibility. As General Manager of the Western U.S. region from 2012 - 2015, Rod brought the surface and underground service center teams together. The end result was an improved and more flexible service coverage strategy that delivered record service sales in the local markets. In 2015, Rod was appointed Vice President and General Manager, Loader Products. In this role he was responsible for developing, manufacturing and supporting loader products globally. While bringing new products to market during his tenure as the leader of the loader products division, Rod partnered with the distribution team around the world to drive major advancements in the quality of the product and support.  

Rod served as the Vice President and General Manager, North America Mining Division from 2018 - 2022. In this capacity, Rod had responsibility for the surface and hard rock underground mining business for the U.S. and Canada. During this period, Rod led the North America Mining team through the One Komatsu transformation; implementing an integrated mining sales and service business strategy across North America. His major stamp on the business was significant improvements in the safety culture, enhanced quality of services and growth of the customer support model. 

In April 2022 Rod was appointed Executive Vice President, North America Region. In this capacity, Rod has responsibility for the service, parts, machine sales and customer solutions for construction, forestry, forklift and mining in North America through all company-owned and independent distributors. 

Prior to joining Komatsu, Rod had 10 years of experience supporting mining customers globally through a variety of commercial roles while at Caterpillar.  

Rod earned an MBA from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from Eastern Illinois University
